  Dr. Benoit Bouchet, DVM
Dr. Benoît Bouchet received his DVM from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. Benoît Bouchet joined Aztec Animal Clinic in March of 2010. He received his DVM from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After completing a private practice internship with San Luis Rey Equine Hospital in Southern California, he headed to New Mexico with his wife Sofia, his Australian Shepard Katie, and two Tabby cats Samson and Annie. Dr. Bouchet worked as an equine veterinarian for 5 years before realizing he really missed working with companion animals. He enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, but has a particular interest in ophthalmology, dentistry, and internal medicine.

Dr. Bouchet and Sofia have added daughters Isabel and Camille, along with Rita, a stray dog they found on the ditch, to their family. They moved to the Nob Hill area a few years ago and absolutely love the neighborhood. When he’s not working, Dr. Bouchet enjoys running, reading, gardening, cooking, wine-tasting, and spending time with his family.

  Dr. Marie Vrabely, DVM
Dr. Marie Vrabely received her DVM from Colorado State University.

Dr. Marie Vrabely joined Aztec Animal Clinic in July 2010. She came to us from Santa Fe where she practiced small animal medicine for 4 years after receiving her DVM from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Vrabely is a New Mexico native who graduated high school in Santa Fe and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico. Her special areas of interest are internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry and ophthalmology. While attending veterinary school, Dr. Vrabely wrote a book, The Dictionary of Small Animal Differentials, which has sold hundreds of copies to CSU veterinary students as well as other vet students and veterinarians around the country.

Marie’s family includes husband, John, 3 wonderful children, and dog, Clovis, recipient of the "World’s Greatest Dog" award for 9 consecutive years. When she is not working, Marie enjoys taking care of her children. If she were to unexpectedly find herself with some free time, she may enjoy reading, cooking, watching movies, running, knitting, photography and blogging.
